Irene Anda:

1. O' Lord:
Fin åpning. Kunne tenke meg en litt "frekkere" basstrombone. Rytmisk "tight" i F - bra!


2. Caravan:
Fin åpning. Fin trombonesolo! Pass på balanse når solist spiller - blir litt for dominerende akkomp.
Savner frasering i F og G. Fine dynamiske effekter.


3. BlindeKari:
Slagverk blir lett for dominerende i svakere partier. God "groove"! Artig stykke.

4. Shenandoah:
Fin euph solo - nydelig vibrato :)
Nydelig varm klang i korpset - fin balanse i kom.
Fin kommunikasjon mellom solist og "kompsolister".
Savner likevel mer frasering - at man tar seg mer tid osv. Generelt blir kompet ofte sterkt i forhold til solist. Hjelper kanskje hvis solist står?

5. Knut Liten:
Gode dynamiske forskjeller. God driv - godt tempo. Savner fraseringer (som ikke står skrevet!) og savner balanse (slagverket for sterkt).


Generelt:
Takk for en fin konsert! Artig program. Korpset behersker godt de raske sterke stykkene/partiene men bør ta seg mer tid til å utvikle mer sensibilitet i de rolige stykkene. Frasering og balanse!

Philip Harper:
1. Oh Lord
Excellent choice to begin - catches the attention straight away. Some great playing (well done bass trom) and stylistically everyone agrees. Very good first number.


2. Caravan
Excitement continues here, full of energy. Occationally a little over-enthusiastic in percussion so be careful - somtimes cornets sound underpowered. Nevertheless, it's a compelling performance, thanks.


3. BlindeKari-Hallingen
A bit wild to begin but settles into a good groove. Excellent xylo playing really enhances. A little unadventurous in trombone ad lib. But well controlled to end.

4. Shenandoah
A little uneven to begin - both in euphonium and then horns which need to have more tranquility. For me, the whole thing needs more time and space, as well as a warmer (and quieter!) sound. Regarding balance: often the euphonium is swamped by the band - I'm sure even standing up would help, but the main problem was that the band accompaniment was not sympathetic enough.

5. Kunt Liten og Sylvelin
Soloists need to find more expression for a more atmospheric beginning. More convincing and impressive at the top end, but needs a lot more subtlety and finesse in quiet/slow passages.
